Getting started

What does Nada do?

Nada helps you plan and track paying off your debts. You can use snowball or avalanche, or your own order. You log payments, get reminders, and see your debt-free date. It also has widgets, Calendar due dates, CSV and PDF export, and a monthly report.

Is it free? What is in Free and Pro?

Nada is free for up to 3 debts, with the full plan. Pro lets you add more debts. It also adds reminders, Calendar due dates and widgets. You can try the yearly plan free for 14 days.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-up and no email needed. Open the app and start.

Which phones and iOS versions?

Nada is made for iPhone and needs iOS 17 or later. There is no iPad version yet.

Which languages?

English, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal) and Catalan. Nada follows your iPhone’s language. If your language isn’t one of these, it uses English.

Privacy

Where is my data stored?

On your phone. If you turn on iCloud sync, a copy also goes to your private iCloud under your own Apple Account. Nada has no servers for the app.

Can Nada see my debts?

No. Your debts and payments never leave your phone, except to your own iCloud if you turn that on. We can’t see them.

How does iCloud sync work? Can I turn it off?

When iCloud sync is on, your data is saved in your private iCloud and kept up to date on your devices that use the same Apple Account. You can turn it off in iPhone Settings, under your name, then iCloud. If you turn it off, your data stays on that phone only.

How do I delete everything?

In Nada, go to Settings, then Delete all data. If you used iCloud sync, also remove Nada’s data from your iCloud storage in iPhone Settings. Deleting the app alone removes the data on your phone, but not the copy in iCloud.

What happens if I lose my phone?

If iCloud sync was on, sign in with the same Apple Account on your new iPhone and your data comes back. If it was off, we can’t get your data back, because we never have it. Exporting a CSV or PDF now and then gives you a copy you can keep.

Does the app track me or show ads?

No. Nada has no ads, no analytics and no tracking.

Using the app

Snowball or avalanche: which should I choose?

Avalanche pays the highest interest rate first. It usually costs the least in interest. Snowball pays the smallest balance first. It gives quick wins, which helps some people keep going. Choose the one you will stick with. You can also set your own order. See snowball vs avalanche for a worked example with real numbers.

What do I enter for the interest rate?

Enter the yearly rate as your lender shows it. In Spain this is the TIN. Nada turns it into a monthly rate for you. If you only have a TAE or APR, which includes fees, you can use that, but the results will be estimates.

Why is my debt-free date different from my bank’s?

Nada works from what you enter. Your bank may count days differently, add fees, round differently, or change your rate. Treat Nada’s date as a good estimate, not a promise. Keep your numbers up to date and the date gets closer.

What is the “never ends” warning?

It shows when your monthly payment is lower than the interest the debt adds each month. The balance then grows instead of shrinking, so the debt never reaches zero at that payment. Pay more, or lower the rate, to clear it. More in when your minimum is less than your interest.

How do 0% deals with an end date work?

Enter 0% and the date the deal ends. Nada plans with 0% until then. Add the rate that applies afterwards, so your plan stays right when the deal ends. More in what 0% for 12 months really means.

Can I pause a debt?

Yes. Pausing a debt takes it out of your plan until you turn it back on. Use this if a lender has given you a payment break.

How do reminders work? Why didn’t I get one?

Reminders are made on your phone and arrive before a payment is due. If one doesn’t show up, check three things. Notifications must be on for Nada in iPhone Settings. A Focus mode may be silencing them. Low Power mode can also delay them.

How do widgets and the Lock Screen work?

Touch and hold an empty spot on your Home Screen, tap the + button, search for Nada and pick a widget. For the Lock Screen, touch and hold it, tap Customize, then add a Nada widget. Widgets are part of Pro.

How do I add due dates to my Calendar?

Turn on Calendar due dates in Nada. Your iPhone will ask for permission. Nada can add events only. It can’t read your calendar.

How do I export my data?

Nada can export your debts and payments as a CSV file or a PDF report. Look for the export option in the app. Then save the file or share it from the iPhone share sheet.

Can I use it with my partner?

Each of you uses Nada on your own iPhone. Your debts and plans stay private to each person. Shared plans for couples may come later.

Pro and payments

How much is Pro? What is the trial?

In Spain, Monthly is €5.99. Yearly is €49.99 and starts with a 14-day free trial. Lifetime is €99.99, paid once. Prices vary by country, and the Pro page shows the price where we know it. The App Store shows your price before you buy.

What is Lifetime? Does it renew?

Lifetime is one payment. It does not renew. It unlocks the Pro features Nada has today. Big new features may be sold separately.

How do I cancel? Will I get a refund?

To cancel, open iPhone Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, choose Nada and tap Cancel. Do it at least 24 hours before the period or trial ends. Apple handles refunds, not us. Ask at reportaproblem.apple.com.

How do I restore purchases on a new phone?

Sign in with the same Apple Account you used to buy. Install Nada and open the Pro screen. Tap Restore Purchases. If Pro still doesn’t show, restart your iPhone and try again, or email us.

How do I redeem a code?

Open the App Store app and tap your profile picture. Tap Redeem Gift Card or Code and enter the code. If someone gave you a link, open the link on your iPhone.

What is the debt-free discount?

When you clear your debts, we may offer you a discount on Pro. At launch it is 30% off the yearly plan. It is an offer, not a right, and offers can change or end.

Problems

The app crashed or shows wrong numbers.

First check that the rate, balance and payment you entered are right. Then update Nada and restart it. If the problem stays, email us with your iPhone model, iOS version and what you were doing. Please don’t send card numbers or passwords.

Face ID isn’t working.

Check iPhone Settings, then Face ID & Passcode, and make sure Face ID can be used with Nada. You can always use your passcode instead. If you changed your passcode or Face ID recently, try again after restarting your iPhone.

iCloud isn’t syncing.

Check that you are signed in to iCloud, that iCloud is turned on for Nada, and that your iCloud storage isn’t full. You also need an internet connection. Syncing can take a few minutes.

How do I send feedback or ask for a feature?

In Nada, open Settings and use the feedback option. It opens your email app. You can also email hello@nadadebt.com. Nothing is sent unless you press send.
